Marguerite will be hosting a FREE comics workshop. If you’re interested in creating your own comics and don’t know where to start, this is the workshop for you.
I’ll be going over how to create comics–from the initial idea to finally getting it down on paper–and how to make your DIY books ultra faboo.
I’ll also talk about how basically any subject you choose can be made into a comic and do a little art demo.
At 5pm, meet at the stage area–once you enter Pete’s, just keep walking straight and bam, you’re on a stage.

Marvel Musicals
Marvel Musicals is a collaboration between the nerd rock band, H2Awesome! and an 8 year old comic book fan and student of CBC.
Comic Book Classroom is Denver’s first comic book education program. It is dedicated to safeguarding the integrity of comic books as an art form and presenting comics as an excellent educational tool while promoting literacy and art.
In a Comic Book Classroom workshop, students learn to write stories, scripts and dialogue and to create new characters for their own comic books. In the spirit of creativity and fun, we decided to take it a step further and collaborate with an 8 and a 10 year old and challenge ourselves to create a “broadway” style musical using this process. We take their “scenes” and adapt them to be performed with music. The results are hilarious and surprising.
We are presenting the scenes with professional actors and singers performing throughout weekends in August as part of the awesome New York International Fringe Festival’s late night Fringe Club.
